Mikawa's Traditional Handheld Fireworks in 4K 豊橋・炎の祭典

Mikawa traditional fireworks "Tezutsu Hanabi". In the Edo period (1603-1868), fireworks were specially permitted in the Higashi Mikawa region, and developed as large bamboo tubes filled with gunpowder and held on the body. The fireworks are dedicated as part of rituals and festivals throughout Toyohashi City, wishing for a good harvest and good health. The flames that blow out from the side of the face and the sparks that rain down are very hot, and the way they stand, their facial expressions, and their behavior are considered to be their spirit, which attracts the people who shoot them and the spectators.
三河伝統花火「手筒花火」。 江戸時代に東三河地方で特別に許可されて、竹の大筒に火薬を詰め、体に抱える花火として発展しました。 「五穀豊穣」「無病息災」を願い、豊橋市内各地の神事や祭礼として奉納されています。 顔の横で吹き出す炎や降りしきる火の粉はとても熱く、立ち姿や表情や振る舞いが心意気とされ、放揚者や観客を魅了しています。
